This is my first summer out of my undergrad, and I intend to expand and experiment by going back to what I love: watercolors.
After a month-long break after I got out of school, I doodled a little koi that had been in my head for a while, intending to turn him into a watercolor.
My koi again in watercolor. I fell in love with watercolors in high school but never got the chance to study them in college. This was a good refresher for me, and exciting as well.
Here we have the finished piece. I used pastel, blended further by water, for her skin but the rest is watercolor. I quite enjoyed coloring this one.
